Medical Exam & Around Guangzhou

Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do.  God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls knows what we know and holds us responsible to act.  Proverbs 24:1

Our morning started with Bella Mei's medical exam.  The office was packed with people.  Our guide walked us to the back and we were able to get right in.  It was really neat to see the adoptive families come in with their kids.  Some kids were young and some were older.  You can sense the excitement and joy from each and every family!  All of the children who are being adopted have to have a routine checkup before their consulate appointment.  Bella Mei did very well and never cried. The doctor who listened to her heart said she could not even hear a heart murmur!  Our new guide  is great!  She is also helping another couple from our agency so it has been really nice talking with this other family.  They are from Texas and this is their second adoption.

Bella Mei thought it was fun to sit in her own seat!

One more thing checked off our list.  The only appointment we have left is on Monday when we go to the U.S. Consulate.  After we were finished at the doctor our facilitator took us to the grocery store.  We saw some more interesting things...

Fish heads and seaweed that they boil and eat.

Pigs feet...

Spices...

and chicken feet!

Guangzhou...

This is our view from our hotel room

The Garden Hotel is where we are staying.

Local streets in Guangzhou...

Look who got a new toy because she was such a
good girl at the doctor...

She loves wearing daddy's hat!

Well, it is late and I am headed to bed!  Thank you for following the blog.  It has been so nice to read all of your sweet comments.  Please continue to pray for us and for the kids at home.  I know they miss us and we miss them terribly!  They can't wait to meet their new little sister!  I will post again tomorrow.

To God be the glory... He has done great things!
